Achini Herath

Achini has been working at ICBT since 2017, lecturing in the field of engineering. After completing her degree in science and technology (B.Tech), specializing in mechatronics engineering, she joined to the ICBT Kandy campus as an Assistant Lecture in the department of Automotive Engineering.

Achini is currently a lecturer at ICBT and has taught a number of undergraduate and foundation modules in various programmes. She is currently teaching Electro Mechanical Energy Conversion, Engineering Drawing and Computer Aided Engineering (Manual Drawing, Auto CAD, Solid Works), Automotive Materials and Manufacturing Processes, Control Systems and Automation, Energy Science and Applications, Engineering Design Project, Management Principles for Automotive Engineers, Economics of Automotive Systems and Value Engineering, Physics, Basic mathematics, Key Concepts of Study Skills and ICT for Science, Engineering Workshop Technology, Engineering Technical Drawing, and Academic communication.

Achini has also been a member of the Production and Operations Management Society (POMS), USA since 2018. Achini’s research interests are in the fields of electrical and electronics, mechanical, automotive, and engineering management.

She is currently undertaking a Msc.Eng. in Engineering Management in the Faculty of Engineering, University of Peradeniya.
