ICBT Colombo campus BM 104 students complete a project by conducting a painting and renovation day at Seewali Vidyalaya – Borella. There are more than 300 students currently studying from grades 1 to 12 under lack of facilities and some threats. Color washing the smart classroom, installing a sound system, and replacing wall fans are some of the needs they have tried to accomplish via donors past years. BM 104 students respond to the need and purchase required paint and other materials. Further, students have identified that school was lacking certain furniture. Apart from paint and material, BM 104 students purchased cupboards and bookshelves to complete the project. It took three months to finish the project and students and the campus spent around Rs. 255,000/= to complete it. Students of BM 104 carried out various fundraising activities such as doing “Holly” event, organizing a musical event call “Thalakaasha” with famous artist if the county at “Nelumpokuna” Rooftop, selling ICBT wrist Bands, and DJ night call “Glowchella” to collect the necessary funds requirement of the project while the ICBT campus through the CSR budget gave the balance requirement.
