Deshan Bulathsinghala

Deshan has been working at ICBT since 2017 lecturing in the field of IT After completing his degree in BSc. (Hons.) in Management Information Systems. While he was reading the undergraduate degree program, he got an opportunity to join Ceylon Shipping Corporation as an IT intern. After the completion of his bachelors, he worked in the Support Engineering sector and was employed for about 2 years before joining ICBT.  

Deshan is currently Module Leader in System Analysis and Design and has taught on a number of undergraduate modules at ICBT in various programs and also, he is an Internal Verifier for number of modules such like, Fundamentals in Programming, Web Application Development, Database Design and Development, Mobile Application Development and etc.  He is currently teaching,

• System Analysis and Design
• Fundamentals in Programming
• Database Design and Development
• Principles of Programming
• Web Application Development
• Building for Web and Data and Knowledge Management.

Moreover, he is giving his contribution as a supervisor for final year Software Engineering undergraduate students. Deshan is a member of ICBT Annual International Research Symposium committee and also a faculty board member in Faculty of Information Technology and Sciences.  Deshan’s research interests are in the field of Mobile and Ubiquitous Computing, DevOps and Enterprise Governance IT, IoT.
He is currently undertaking a MSc in Information Technology at SLIIT University.
