Kanchana Wimalasurendre

Kanchana has been working at ICBT since October, 2008 lecturing in the field of IT/Management/Engineering etc.  After qualifying from British Computer Society (BCS), UK and Australian Computer Society (ACS) he worked as a Senior Lecturer/Assistant Course Coordinator at The Golden Key Institute of Computer Technology about five years then joined with Esoft and worked about two years as the Assistant Branch Manager in Kandy. He was employed for about seven years before joining ICBT.  

Kanchana is currently the internal verifier for several modules of HD in Computing & Software Engineering and B.Sc in Business Information Systems programmes. And also he is the programme leader of M.Sc in Information Technology programme. Kanchana has taught on a number of undergraduate and postgraduate modules at ICBT for in various programmes including IT, Management, Engineering, Biomedical Engineering etc..  He is currently teaching,

• Project Management
• Business Information Systems
• Professional Practice for undergraduate and postgraduate

Kanchana is also a professional member of British Computer Society (BCS) and Associate Member of Australian Computer Society (ACS).

Kanchana’s research interests are in the field of project management, information systems and human resource management.
He is currently undertaking an M.Sc. in Project Management.​​
