Profile

R.P.N.Roshan has been working at ICBT since April 2019.After completing his BSc in Medical Laboratory Science in 2011, he worked as a Medical Laboratory Scientific officer at Osro hospitals private limited. Then, he joined Remediumone pvt.ltd as a clinical research coordinator. During his time at Remediumone, he was assigned to the Kandy teaching hospital to be involved in the new drug development for myocardial infarction and diabetes. In April 2016 Mr. Roshan started his MPhil in Niigata University, Japan. While studying for his Mhil, he worked as an English tutor for science students at Niigata University. He graduated in 2018 obtaining MPhil in the field of toxicology at graduate school of Environmental Science and Technology. From June 2018 to April 2019, he worked as an assistant lecturer in Medical Laboratory Science at the Open university, Nawala, Sri Lanka before joining ICBT in April 2019. In summary he has 4 years of lecturing experience after his Mhil. He also has 3 years of transferable skills to teaching from his employment at Osro hospitals and Remediumone. Mr. Roshan also has registration from Sri Lanka medical council in the field of professions supplementary to medicine.(Registration number- 1849)

Mr. Roshan is currently a lecturer in Biomedical Science and has taught a number of Higher diploma and BSc modules in Biomedical Science and Biomedical Engineering. He is currently teaching modules such as Human Anatomy and Physiology, General and Medical Microbiology, Hematology, Clinical Immunology for the higher diploma in Biomedical Science. He also teaches Contemporary topics and Biology and Laboratory investigation of disease in BSc in Biomedical Science. He is also supervising BSc in BMS students in their final year research project.
