Profile

Nisansala has been working at ICBT since 2009 lecturing in the field of Information Technology. After completing her degree in Bachelor of Science(honors) in Applied Sciences (first class) from Rajarata University of Sri Lanka, she worked as a temporary lecturer of Faculty of Applied Sciences, Rajarata University of Sri Lanka for about 2 years before joining ICBT. She obtained her MSc in Computer Science from the University of Peradeniya.

Nisansala is currently working as a Senior Lecturer (Grade 1) attached to the faculty of Information Technology and Sciences, at ICBT Kandy Campus. She serves as the module leader for Fundamentals in Programming and an internal verifier for Database Design and Development and Mobile Application Development modules and has taught on several undergraduate and postgraduate modules at ICBT in IT, Business and Engineering programs. Within ICBT Nisansala serves as a student advisor and a research supervisor. She is a member of the research committee, member Technical Committee of ICBT Annual International Research Symposium and new program development committee. Nisansala’s research interests are in the field of Software Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, and Educational Technology.
