Profile

Upeka has been working at ICBT since 2014 lecturing in the field of Information Technology. After completing   Bachelor of Science in information technology of University of Middlesex, UK, she worked in the education sector and she was employed for about six years before joining ICBT Campus. She obtained her Master of Science in Enterprise software Engineering from the University of Greenwich, UK.

Upeka is currently Senior Lecture, module leader, internal verifier, Research committee member of the Annual International Research Symposium of ICBT and has taught on a number of undergraduate and postgraduate modules at ICBT in various programmes.  She is currently teaching,

  • Object oriented programming
  • Service oriented Computing
  • Mobile application development
  • Mobile and Web Technologies
  • Object-Oriented System Design
  • Professional Ethical Issues in IT.

Within ICBT, Upeka is a member of the new programme development committee and supervisor for undergraduate and postgraduate research projects including BSc Software Engineering, MSC IT and MSc in Project Management. Upeka’s research interests are in the field of ethics and software Engineering.
