ICBT Campus’ 7th Annual International Research Symposium (A I R S) 2024 call for papers has been initiated under the symposium theme “Innovating for a Resilient Future: Cross-Disciplinary Approaches to Global Challenges” under five major subject streams namely; Social Sciences, Engineering and Construction, Health Sciences, Business Management and Information Technology.
The symposium is organized with the patronage and leadership of the symposium chairperson and the CEO / Executive Dean ICBT Campus, Dr.Sampath Kannangara. The prestigious review panel of A I R S 2024 comprised of veteran esteemed panel of reviewers from local and foreign universities and high caliber professionals from diversified industries representing national and international corporations. A I R S 2024 is open for any local or foreign citizen who is interested in publishing his or her own research work to showcase their novel findings globally. ICBT Campus would like to cordially and openly invite academia, researches, professionals, undergraduate and postgraduate students to avail this prestigious opportunity by publishing a research paper in AIRS 2024. ICBT Colombo campus BM 104 students complete a project by conducting a painting and renovation day at Seewali Vidyalaya – Borella. There are more than 300 students currently studying from grades 1 to 12 under lack of facilities and some threats. Color washing the smart classroom, installing a sound system, and replacing wall fans are some of the needs they have tried to accomplish via donors past years. BM 104 students respond to the need and purchase required paint and other materials. Further, students have identified that school was lacking certain furniture. Apart from paint and material, BM 104 students purchased cupboards and bookshelves to complete the project. It took three months to finish the project and students and the campus spent around Rs. 255,000/= to complete it. Students of BM 104 carried out various fundraising activities such as doing “Holly” event, organizing a musical event call “Thalakaasha” with famous artist if the county at “Nelumpokuna” Rooftop, selling ICBT wrist Bands, and DJ night call “Glowchella” to collect the necessary funds requirement of the project while the ICBT campus through the CSR budget gave the balance requirement.
The ICBT Staff Talent Show 2024, held on 19th July 2024, was a vibrant event showcasing the diverse talents of ICBT staff members. The day featured a variety of performances, including solo singing, solo dancing, an open category and group events.
From musical performances and dance routines to comedy acts and artistic displays, the show was filled with entertainment and unity. The event highlighted the creativity and enthusiasm of the staff, making it a memorable celebration of talent and teamwork.
The 4th ICBT EXITO Exhibition, held on the 3rd and 4th of July 2024, showcased the talents and cutting-edge projects of our engineering, technology, and science students. This annual event provided a platform for students to present their innovative ideas, research findings, and technological advancements. Attendees witnessed state-of-the-art designs and solutions, highlighting our students’ creativity and academic excellence.
The inclusion of school students added excitement, as many visited and participated in various competitions. The exhibition was a significant success, inspiring all with the next generation of innovators poised to impact their industries.
