Students of Business Management (Batch - 102) in ICBT Campus complete a project by conducting a painting and renovation day at Dharmaraja Primary School at Karagoda, Yakkalamulla.
There are 180 students currently studying from grades 1 to 5 under lack of facilities. Color washing the buildings, desks, and chairs is one of the needs they have tried to accomplish via donors past two years. Business Management (Batch - 102) students respond to the need and purchase required paint and other materials.
Further, students have identified that students were lacking certain stationery. Apart from paint and material, Business Management (Batch - 102) students purchased 180 stationery packs for the entire school. It took three months to finish the project.
Further, ICBT students manage to provide funds to make all the prefect badges of the school prefect team with the profits they got by doing various events. Students of Business Management (Batch - 102) carried out various fundraising activities such as selling Goddy bags, notebooks, wristbands, signature pens, food stalls, and carwashes to collect the necessary funds requirement of the project while the ICBT campus through the CSR budget gave the balance requirement.

The Cardiff Met cricket team arrived in Sri Lanka with a formidable reputation, having established themselves as winners in UK university tournaments. Their visit promised to provide a formidable challenge to the cricketing talents of ICBT Campus, known for their skilled players and competitive spirit.
The two teams faced off in Colombo and Kandy. In Colombo, the Cardiff Met team squared off against the determined players of ICBT Colombo Campus. Cardiff Met team faced a formidable challenge from the talented players of ICBT Colombo Campus. However, ICBT emerged victorious in a convincing manner, showcasing their exceptional skills and teamwork.
Meanwhile, in Kandy, the Cardiff Met team clashed with the ICBT Kandy team in another intense match. This time, the visitors from Cardiff proved their mettle, securing a hard-fought victory against the home team.
The tour also included matches featuring the women's team from Cardiff Metropolitan University competed against the Sri Lanka Women's Cricket Development Squad. Despite facing a formidable opponent, the Cardiff Met women's team showcased their skills and resilience, contributing to an exciting and closely contested match which was won by the local team.
Overall, the visit of the Cardiff Metropolitan University cricket teams to Sri Lanka proved to be a memorable experience for all involved. Beyond the matches themselves, the tour fostered cultural exchange, friendship, and mutual respect between the players and institutions involved.
An open international platform for novel research and development; ICBT Campus 6th Annual International Research Symposium (AIRS) 2023 (https://airs.icbt.lk) was successfully held on 15th of February 2024 with the participation of over 150 national and international academia, professionals, undergraduate and postgraduate students. The research symposium was organized under the theme of “Bridging the Innovation Gap: Multi-Disciplinary Perspective” based on six research streams namely Social Sciences, Engineering & Construction, Health Sciences, Business Management, Psychology and Information Technology. AIRS2023 was able to publish 74 extended abstracts papers in the proceedings (https://airs.icbt.lk/Publications.html ) this time as the highest ever.
