This programme aims to provide a research-informed programme that develops students’ understanding of the causes, laboratory analysis, diagnosis, monitoring and treatment of human disease; that enables students to develop, integrate and apply their scientific knowledge and skills to the multi-disciplinary investigation of human health and disease; that develops students’ analytical, practical, numeracy, research, problem solving, team-working, communication, enterprise, reflective, creative and critical skills; and to provide them with the skills, knowledge and abilities required to maximise their employability and their opportunities for postgraduate study.
Students who successfully complete Higher Diploma in Biomedical Science (or an equivalent may progress to the final year of the BSc (Hons) Biomedical Science programme without the need for individual consideration
Postgraduate study MSc in Biomedical Science / Molecular Biology / Microbiology / Immunology and etc. MPhil or PhD for research careers
