This programme aims to develop students’ understanding of the causes, laboratory analysis, diagnosis, monitoring and treatment of human disease; that enables students to develop, integrate and apply their scientific knowledge and skills to the multi-disciplinary investigation of human health and disease; that develops students’ analytical, practical, numeracy, research, problem solving, team-working, communication, enterprise, reflective, creative and critical skills; and to provide them with the skills, knowledge and abilities required to maximise their employability and their opportunities for undergraduate (top up programs ) study.
- Applicants whose first language is other than English who wish to undertake this course should have the following qualifications with an IELTS score of 6.0 with no score lower than 5.5 or “C” pass for English language for G.C.E. O/L or to pass the Diploma in English programme conducted by ICBT to enter the programme.
- Applicants should have a minimum of five GCE (O/L) passes with C “passes for Mathematics and English, and two GCE (A/L) passes
- Minimum of two “S” passes in GCE (A/L) (or equivalent in any other Advanced level examination) in the science stream
- Foundation in Biomedical Science (or any other equivalent, which will be considered as suitable after mapping with the ICBT foundation in Biomedical Science)
- Top-up to BSc (Hons) Biomedical Science
- BSc in related fields (Microbiology, Biotechnology, Molecular Biology)
